This is Rheba.  I enjoyed reading the beatitudes in my study bible and learning more about what the true meaning of those who are "blessed" are.  For example, "poor in spirit" are those who recognize they are in need of God's help.  "Mourning" should come from those who have experienced any loss resulting from sin and it should lead them to long for God's forgiveness and healing.  The "meek" are those who trust in God to direct the outcome of events in their lives, and don't try to assert themselves over others in order to achieve that outcome.  "Peacemakers" reflect the character of their heavenly Father in promoting personal and community peace.
